Elder Lindmeir

wow it was great to see you all, but at the same time it sucked because i keep thinking about you guys and it makes me sad... its alright though, we had an awesome Christmas! hung out with the taotafas there legit!!! the hooked us up gave us a bunch of presents and gift cards. there like family to us its awesome! wow i am so proud of you guys you have all grown up so much, Gabe dancing like a stud that's legit homeslice! Shavian making a fashion club! fantastic!!! proud you! then christian looking like a mountain man, so sick i love it, and don't ever tell me you guys are getting married until i come home hhaha i wanna be there... it was a great Christmas that's for sure!

this week was a wonderful week! we had a mini missionary come with us the day after Christmas and staying with us till Tuesday, hes in high school his name is ? but his stake lets people go on what they call mini missions were they stay with us everyday and all day for about a week, so that they can get a better feel for it. this ? kid is a weirdo but i sure do love him my companion on the other hand wont talk to him, so its been kinda tough, and ? broke down and he told me his whole life story... but it all worked out hes great and he still wants to be a missionary so i guess we did something right ha ha.

funny story we went over to this less active family and only ? was there (hes the one who drives the WRX) but anyways he has a big pit bull for a pet and wow she is the nicest dog you will ever meet the only problem is if your not paying attention she will try to jump on you and make out with you and its horrible cause there nothing you can do about it, because she weighs like 100 pounds, and while were teaching tinker(the pitbull) jumped up on ? our mini missionary and just started attacking his face and tinker pinned him down on the coach so he could move... it was so funny cause i saw tinker whole tongue go in his mouth!!!!! ewww so nasty she was on him for like 2 minutes and he couldn't do anything!!!!! it was so funny.

we have been teaching a less active family for a while now and the only reason why she hasn't been going to church is that she ahs been sick. and recently she just got lung cancer, and she is going through chemo therapy, its so sad to see her struggling every time we go by her home, shes about 60 years old and the reason why I'm sharing this is because i have never seen anyone so happy in my entire life, she just laughs all the time cracks jokes with us but at the same time you can see her in pain, and you know that's what this gospel is all about giving this hope to you that no matter what you have or what your going through just be happy because if your not your just bringing everyone else down with you.

well love you guys tons it was great to see you all love you!!!!

Sister Waverli Lindmeir Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everybody!

Last week was an amazing week! Christmas eve night was really good! All day on christmas eve we were trying to find a family that we could help and share the Christmas Story to( Luke 2) and finally at 8:30 at night we decided to go to this less active family and some were not even members and they let us in and we got to share the christmas story with them! They Loved it alot and they said we could come back any time and share the gospel with them! it was a great Christmas Eve!

Christmas day was an amazing day! we woke up and Prests the family we are staying with made us a really good breakfast! and We opened presents and i got a GPS from Mom and Dad! so i no longer get lost anymore! it is amazing! :)
Then i got to talk to the Family and i didn't realize how much i missed them until i saw them but it was really good! Then we went to a nursing home that one of the less active members in our ward is staying at and talked with her for awhile and then we sang to a whole bunch of old people in the nursing home! one of the old ladies there that we sang to, started crying because she said it was so lovely! it was so sweet and it was a great Christmas day! :)

Last week me and my companion worked really hard visiting less active members and part member families and some tracting! we have really been trying our hardest to be exactly obedient and always being on time for everything and we have been so blessed from it! we got six new investigstors last week! and Most of them were referrals from the ward! the ward here is such a great ward and i love serving here so much! even though Sister Farnsworth and i are brand new in the ward! i feel like it is home already! it is Great!

I hope everyone is doing fantastic and i hope you have a happy new year!

Sister Kiana Lindmeir Happy New Year

I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!! I sure did! I will never forget this memorable Christmas that I had.
Christmas Eve was like any other day. We did Caroling and the Metro Station with our Zone. It was the greatest! Sister Gray and I went out to a nice restaurant afterward. I splurged on some delicious steak! We then went to our apartment  and acted out the Nativity and enjoyed an evening with the other Sisters in our apartment :)
Christmas Day was wonderful. We opened up presents instead of exercising! I was so spoiled (Thanks Mom and Dad!!!!!!). I even got a hand sewing machine; which happens to be very useful on a mission. We then went to our Bishop's home and we ate yummy breakfast. Both Sister Gray and I skyped our families and it was amazing! I very much enjoyed looking at their beautiful faces and hearing their voices!
After Skyping, we left to go to a members home for Christmas Lunch. Our investigators were there and it was great! They even had a testimony meeting where our investigator, Legion, shared his Testimony.
We sang at an old folks home afterward. We went up into the Alzheimer's unit and sang. I realized that I had no reason to feel bad for myself on Christmas day when these amazing people may have had no one to Cherish this day with. Most the people we sang to enjoyed it and they were singing along. One women kept yelling in the songs to stop singing. She said "I TOLD YOU TO STOP". So we did. It ended short, but it was fun :)
I talked to Marcus and Waverli later in the Day!!! It was soooo good to talk to them! They sound like they are doing very well!!! We watched Tarzan at night! Movies on my mission tend to be so much better, even though I have seen Tarzan before! But WOW, it was amazing!

So that was Christmas. The rest of the week was not so memorable. Most of our investigators were out of town, but if they were in town they didn't want to meet! The good news is that in a couple weeks things should be a lot better :)
I have felt much love from the Savior this week and I am grateful for that. He wants to help all of us, but we must allow him to help us. As you pray for help, the Savior will be there :)
Love you all!!!!!!

Guess What!!!!Sister Kiana Lindmeir

Hi Team!
Guess What! I am staying here in the Colonial 1st Ward for at least another Transfer! I am so excited! And I will be training! Which means Sister Clegg will be leaving. Transfers will be this Thursday and I am looking forward to meeting my new companion. I am a little nervous about my new trainee coming right in for Christmas. I am hoping to make Christmas very special for her! I also feel kind of bad because we have bed bugs in our apartment. Oh ya, I think I have forgotten to tell you haha! We have had them for about 2 months. If you don't know what they are, you should look up a picture! They are gross. They are not as bad in our bedroom, but our roommates are covered in bites from head to toe :/.
Well, This past week was amazing though! Nicole had her baptism interview and she passed! She is so excited for her baptism! I think I am just as excited!!! Sadly, most of our Ward Members are going to gone, so we am trying to plan a baptism that we have no idea how to plan, but we are figuring it out :).
Yesterday was our Ward Christmas Program so church was just an hour long! Our ward is so talented and all of our investigators loved the music!!
We went to the Temple this past week with Star, Semmi and Legion! It was beautiful and the lights were amazing!!! They loved it and they want to go again! We listened to a hand bell music performance and it was very neat!!!
We also had a whole mission Christmas Party! It was amazing to see all the 260 missionaries there! And especially all the Sisters! There was a talent show, and oh boy those missionaries are so talented! It was very  fun!!!
It is fun to be on a mission during Christmas Time and to remember the true meaning of Christmas! I love what President Thomas S Monson said "To catch the real meaning of the spirit of Christmas, we need only drop the last syllable and it becomes the spirit of Christ."
Let us all remember this as we go about this Christmas Season!
Love,

Sister Lindmeir

Hey Family!
Guess what??!!!!! TRANSFER CALLS CAME! AND I AM GETTING TRANSFERRED TO NACHES WASHINGTON WITH SISTER FARNSWORTH AND WE ARE BEING DOUBLED INTO THIS AREA! Being doubled in is that the missionaries that were serving in Naches were both taken out and now Sister Farnsworth and i are both being put in there to take over the area and starting on a clean slate! My mission President also called me yesterday and asked if i would be the senior companion! pretty sweet right???! Bad thing though is that i have met Sister Farnsworth  a couple of  times and she has this condition where she hick ups all day everyday and it never stops. so i am going to learn a lot of love and patience which is very good though! :)
I am going to miss Wenatchee so much but i know that i am needed in Naches! and i am very excited to serve there! yesterday  at church that when i told everybody that i was leaving they all were so sad. some of them were even crying! one lady named sister stuart didnt want to leave so much that she was trying to find a man in the ward that i could marry so that i would stay there forever! weird right??? it was so cool though! i had no idea that i ment so much to the ward! it was a really was awesome! it really felt likw that ward was my home ward!
i am very grateful for the things i have learned in Wenatchee! i really feel like i am starting to become the missionary that the Lord wants me to be and the person i have always wanted to become! i love this Gospel so much and i am so very grateful for this time of season that we get to think all about Christ and all of the amazing gifts he has given us all! i am so very grateful for all of you and i hope you have an amazing week!

Elder Lindmeir

hey family!!!! sounds like everyone is freezing!!! ha ha it like 60 degrees here!!!! love it the weather is perfect its green/brown/geto couldn't ask for anything more. except I'm going to buy a coat today because the sweater are not warm enough, it gets down below 40 around 7pm and the last week Ive been trying to bear it but cant anymore haaha. awwwwhhhhh mom thank you for the packages!!! i hope i get them soon I'm so excited!!! did you ever send back my sd card for my camera, i have one right now but i want to send it to you guys soon. i learned alot this week it has been a great humbling experience. o ya mom you should save all my emails i send you because i usually don't wright in my journal, and so this is my journal.
this week, went to one of our investigators home, his name is ?, he has been through alot. i mean alot, his wife got deported and want to take the kids so hes been in a big pickle. and everytime we had a lesson i knew he wasn't feeling the spirit and something was wrong. after we found the concerns why he wasn't feeling the spirit we turned to Alma 36 and read from it and it just says that we don't have to worry about past mistakes as long as we repent blah blah blah. and as we shared this with him the spirit was strong in the house that i could just see his worries lift off his shoulders.... IT WAS AMAZING! and he said to me "for once in along time i feel peace" BOOOMB! it was that amazing! he found out that this gospel is the true gospel. and so were really excited for him right now.

you know lately we have been so blessed in our area and you know what i think it is? its the fact were working hard and were just having so much fun, there are so many great people we get to meet and to help out its LEGIT! transfers are next week and i hope i stay because the work here is going great.

i love you all so much i get fuel off your support, i pray for all you daily love you all keep up the good work!!1

Sister Waverli Lindmeir

Hey Everybody!
I am really sorry that i didn't write an email last week! to be honest it was a really hard week in the field and i didn't want anyone knowing about it! it was a hard week because we have not been able to get in with any our investigators and we only had a few investigators anyways. So Sister Fletcher and i decided that we needed to do something about this. we have been praying every single prayer to help us find those people that are waiting and ready to hear the gospel. And guess what???!!!!!!!! it worked! :)
On monday we got one new investigator ? and she is so amazing! she is 13 years old and asked us if she could prayer after the first lesson and it was such a great prayer! Then on tuesday we were tracting some apartments and a young mom answered the door and let us come in. she told us that she recently moved from Chelan to East Wenatchee and that she told us that her and her husband used to  meet with missionaries in chelan and that that would love to learn more about what we believe! on Thursday, we were tracting some different apartments and this young lady let us come in and teach her and her 8 year old son!  and then on sunday, we went to go see this less active member in our ward and when we knocked on his door, it turned out to be a totally different guy and his name is ? and his girlfriends name is ?. we asked them if we could come in and share a Christmas message with them and they said yes! it went so well that they said we could come back next week and teach them more. they are so cool and they have such a strong belief in Christ. they even both served, service missions for four years!
All together that equals 7 NEW INVESTIGATORS! we know that it was because of our constant prayers, willingness to work, and faith to find! it was a really good week!
i encourage all of you to pray for opportunities to share the gospel with someone and i know that as you do so, you will be able to find people to share the gospel with and you will be able to develop a stronger relationship with your Father in Heaven and Savior. Especially at this Christmas season. what better gift could you give to Christ then helping one of his lost sheep come unto him!
i hope everyone has an amazing week!
Love Sister Lindmeir :)

Happy Winter!!! Sister Kiana LIndmeir

It snowed yesterday, and I felt right at home :). I love the Holiday Season! It just brings back wonderful memories and it is great! Yesterday, I watched the Christmas Devotional and it was amazing! I especially loved Elder Nelson's talk when he said "Peace can come to all who choose to walk in the ways of the Master." That is so true!!!
This week was incredible!!! The Lord was blessing us so much with so many miracles! ? is getting baptized on Dec. 21st and is so excited! She is so happy and when she made the decision, we all could not stop smiling! Her life will be forever changed! I will finally have my first baptism and I feel so blessed :)
We were also blessed with 6 new people investigating the church this week and 11 lessons! This is the most lessons I have had in a week! I love being busy! Especially after our slow thanksgiving week!
Transfers are on the 19th of December and I am not sure what will be happening! I love this area but It is will be okay if the Lord calls me another way!

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lords Church. And I know that I am taking part in his Marvelous Work
I love you all and I hope you have a wonderful week!

being missionary ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

hello... my fellow family and friends.  i love being a missionary, honestly its freaking awesome, this week has been the greatest week of my life! we have had the most amazing miracles ever!!!!!! ahw its awwwweeeesssssooooommmmmmeeeee!!!
but first off thanksgiving was legit! we ate over at the stotts! honestly love them as family they are so great, we kinda piled out at there house because she made us eat pie and relax.... but i repented we there for three hours, i confess haha. but then we went crazy!!! this week i promised myself i was going to talk to everyone!!!!!!!!!!! i mean everyone weather there on a phone whether there in there car if i have a chance to talk to them I'm going to do it!!!!! and we did and we saw some awesome miracles, there was a 20 year old guy yelling on his phone with some one else, and we walked to him told him we don't want to interrupt your conversation but this message we have is going to bring more happiness in your life than any worldly thing, and then he hung up and listened.. or we were crossing the street and a car pulled up with his window down we jumped right to the window and bore testimony!!! it works!!!! we had the most lessons most contact most baptismal dates we have ever had since Ive been here! i guess if your showing your faith that your willing to talk to everyone god will trust you with people he has prepared to except the gospel in your path.

funny story, we have been teaching this lady named ?, and shes about 300 pounds 50 years old and doesn't have teeth, well she a Born again christian, and as we have been teaching her she told us that she had evil spirits on her and randomly she would speak in tongues. it was scary so first we gave her a blessing to get rid of them, and as we did so she felt so much better and she was good until she asked us if we could bless her house.... it was just her there so we would have to do it with her sitting outside, and her house isn't any normal house it used to be an antique store so it has metal bars and metal gates everywhere so its like a safe the house is scary, so we open the steel door and we walk in and give it a blessing, i was freaking out a little but it was awesome! as we finished we went to the front door to leave and i opened the door and it opened about 2 inches before it hit the metal door, and so i pushed and pushed, but the metal door was locked!!!!!! i looked at my companion and i was like O CRAP WERE GOING TO DIE, so my companion switched me places and turned the door handle and it opened.... i guess i forgot to turn the handle all the way.. i don't mean to scare you if i did but it was awesome experience.

then on Sunday we went to pick up ? for church, a member drove us to her house to give her a ride, the member drove one of those huge twelve seater vans, and we parked on the front of her drive way as she came up to the van i was out side and my companion was in the van, there was a problem she couldn't get in!!! so the member reached over and grabbed her hand and started pulling her in the van and I'm behind he pushing and lifting her up! i was sweating that's how much effort i had to use to pick up this lady to get in the van, it was so funny. and then when we got to church we sat in like the 4th row in the front, and she loved it!!!! people were going up to bear there testimony! and next thing i know she goes up there!!!!! right then and there i was praying she wasn't going to speak in tongues for everyone to hear. she gets up to the stand and says "? I'm a born again christian and i just felt promted to come up hear and bear my testimony on this gospel and those two cute missionaries right there (she was pointing at us) and it was awesome her testimony was beautiful!!!! loved it and thank goodness she wasn't speaking in tongues.. o and the best thing about it was President Kendrick was there!!!! BROWNIE POINTS!!!!! hhaha

well i love you all so much I'm so thankful for your beautiful spirits and testimony you all have KEEP IT UP!!!

PEACE!

Merry Winter!!!

Hello Team!
I hope your Thanksgiving was amazing. And that is was full of gratitude and food :). Mine was amazing! We spent it at our Bishop's House! It was fun to be in a family setting, Especially since I have been in a Singles ward for a few months! But I loved it! It is great to focus more on the meaning of thanksgiving than to focus on Black Friday shopping (although I did really miss it this year). We also dropped of Thanksgiving Dinner to Semmi and Star. They locked themselves in their apartment most the week to study for finals. I really admire them for their diligence!!! It was their first Thanksgiving Dinner and I think that they enjoyed it!
The rest of this week was a bit dead considering that all of our members and investigators traveled or went home for the holidays. We did have one short lesson with Star. We read the Book of Mormon with him. He said the most beautiful prayer ever! He asked that Sister Clegg and I have peace in our hearts because we couldn't be with our family for Thanksgiving. Isn't that the sweetest?! Yesterday in Church he received a blessing for his finals. He is very stressed right now. After the blessing, he had tears in his eyes and said "I feel peaceful now and I know that Heavenly Father will help me". It was great!

We also were able to go to the Temple Visitors Center with Nicole and it was amazing! We taught her the Word of Wisdom. She agreed with most of it, but is not sure that Joseph Smith is a prophet. In the Visitor's Center, she watched the new Joseph Smith Movie and she loved it. I love it every time I watch it! It is amazing! She felt the Spirit so strong and is feeling good about December 21st as a baptism date. Sadly she is kind of on a time crunch because she is moving to the Middle East in January and there won't be missionaries there. But we are hopeful that she will get baptized before then. She checked to make sure there is a church where she is moving to and there is :). She came to church yesterday and loved it!
I found out we are not getting Ipads until January and I am a bit sad about that. Also, transfers are the 19th of December. I kind of have this feeling that I am leaving but I am not sure. Around that time please remember to send things to the mission address (5242 Lyngate Ct. Burke, Va 22015).
I am so excited to watch and listen to the Prophet and Apostles speak at the
First Presidency Christmas Devotional this Sunday. I would encourage all of you do watch it as well! It should be amazing!!! Have a wonderful week!!!
Love,
Sister Lindmeir

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Hello family and friends!

This past week was AMAZING! The biggest highlight was that we had a Tri-Zone Conference where Elder Teh of the first Quorum of the 70. He talked about how we can get stuck in a current on our mission and it can become difficult to get out. It is a popular place and it can be comfortable for some people. It is a place where I don't want to be. I don't want to be comfortable. I want to grow, to learn, and change! After the Conference, President Riggs asked if I would have an interview with Elder Teh. I was terrified because I thought I did something wrong. But I was fine; he just wanted to get to know me better :). And he took a picture of me and sent it to my mom. It was great!
We had a missionary work focused Sacrament Meeting yesterday and it was wonderful! The Members in our ward are working hard to find people for us to teach. I love it soooo much! We gave each member a gift bag afterward full of pass-a-long cards, pamphlets and chocolate! We even gave out Preach my Gospel's for those that don't have one! Now all the members can be a missionary :)

Since Thanksgiving is coming up soon, my heart has been full of thanksgiving for the many things God has blessed me with! There are too many things, it is hard to name all of them. But I wanted to share with each of you what I am grateful for!
I am grateful for my family on earth (Especially those that write me letters or emails that mean the world to me ;)). I am grateful for good friends that are always there for me! I am grateful for Heavenly Father and that I can pour out my whole heart to him through prayer! And that he actually listens and cares and wants to help me! I am grateful for the infinite sacrifice of Jesus Christ and that through him, we can have Eternal Life. I am grateful to share this message with many people and to allow them to access all the blessings that Heavenly Father wants to give them :)
I am grateful for your support, prayers and encouragement! Happy Thanksgiving!
Love,
Sister Lindmeir

Sister Waverli Lindmeir

Last week was the worst week and the best week ever! i will start off with the bad news. Last week a family that we were teaching dropped us and we had to give three of our investigators to different missionaries and they were all on date for baptism and it just really stunk! we had to had them off because they don't live in our ward boundaries but they have friends in our ward  and thats how we started teaching the them. we looked at our teaching pool and right now we don't have any progressing investigators this week which means our goal for this week is having the faith to find more investigators.
now for the best part! Natalie and Michelle Delgado were baptized last week and it really was the best day of my whole entire life! Nothing in the whole entire world brings you more happiness then helping someone come closer unto Christ. It was honestly the best feeling i have ever had and it was such a great day. we invited everybody from the ward to come to there baptism and a ton of people came there to support them. i wish you all could have been there and been able to feel the spirit so strong there! It was the best day ever! :)

Oh Family, you don't have to worry about me for thanksgiving. i don't have one person feeding us on thanksgiving, we  have four different families feeding us on thursday! Awesome right??? :)
i hope everyone has an awesome thanksgiving!
Love, Sister Lindmeir

MISSIONARY WORK! ALL DAY EVERYDAY TILL THE DAY I DIE!

HI
good job shivani you passed, how much did you have to pay? ha ha I'm sorry that was mean I'm sure your a great driver. thank you so much for the letter i got, and the Christmas ornaments, yes there were many tears shed that night. i scared my companion i think. tell the ward that i love them all! what a great ward we have. sounds like fun going to Vegas!!!!! party central, don't party too hard.

this week was awesome!!! just a successful week!!! had great lessons met with some awesome people, like one time we were walking and a sketchy old guy came out of a bush, right off the sidewalk and we started to talk to him saying like" wow man were did you come from?" and he said " from the bushes" i started laughing and a little confused and i asked "seriously?" and he said "yeah man, theres a whole group of us were called the bush people" and then i found out that people actually live in these bushes, it was kinda strange and funny, so watch out for the bush people.

we have had some awesome lessons lately and our numbers are going up its great! loving it, my favorite thing right now about missionary work is actually the studies I've been having and how much awesome stuff you can find in the scriptures its scary. we have a member that just came back from his mission like 3 years ago hes supper rich and hes going less active and we have been stopping by to teach him and as we do, he just stumps us with the hardest deepest doctrine questions, that we didn't know, and i guess when he served right after he taught institute and i guess all he studies is deep doctrine, its scary the stuff he knows... yeah i don't want to know that much the simpler the better.

we have had just an awesome week, everything is great my companion is very slow. i mean slower than a 300 pound twelve year old girl, its kinda sad, but i love it because I'm really learning how to be patient and so far so good i haven't snapped or anything, when we run we usually walk for 30min but no one can be perfect, hes a great companion, before he to sanmarcos he  served in Carlsbad right on the beach, he was what we like to call a Pile. in other words a really lazy missionary, he used to sleep until like 12 in after noon and stay at members homes for hours, but its all changed and he loves working hard! its legit! hes really awesome at teaching and inviting the spirit so we work good together.

I'm loving it here!!!! love you all so much!!!! keep it up!

Elder Marcus Lindmeir

HOWDIEE! family!!!! wow its good to hear from you! awh i love the ties you got me!!!!!!! THERE LEGIT! sounds like everyone is doing awesome, its nice to know josh finally got married. that's fun you get to hang with grandma tell her i say HI! this week was a very wonderful blessed week. we saw many miracles that have really helped me and motivated me to work harder. the work here is really speeding up now with elder moolenbeek, because he know how to plan smarter, hes slower that elder board i mean by alot but with the smarts and my speed we get it done. our investigators are progressing very well. we have had some wonderful spiritual messages from them.

we taught Adrian twice this week, and is really working hard to know if the book of Mormon is true, he told us he wants to read the whole book in the next 3 weeks. i gave him props (that will be 1 more time than me) haha. him and his daughters really are starting to love church and the gospel. on Saturday we taught them about prophets and shared a Thomas. S Monson talk with them on there tv, they loved it.

we met a man named Alpancho, like the actor. hes in his 50s and we shared the first lesson, the restoration, and we invited him to be baptised, he said yes but he has alot of work to do haha (drug addict) we picked up victor again hes quiting drugs and really working hard to stop doing coke.

funny story: we were eating at the calas family outside when a sketchy old man comes up and is holding a box of donuts and says" why don't you take a donut?" he has like a pirate accent. " you can have 2 or 1 whatever you like" I'm laughing and then he looks right at me and says " why are you Mormons so particular" i was confused because honestly i don't remember what that even means. he goes on to say " i mean your creepier then me" and this whole time hes like grunting as hes talking. there are some weird people but i took 2 of his donuts and ate them.

dad and mom I'm going to have to show you how to make real Mexican food. with real jalapenos, we eat carnasada like everyday with full jalapenos, my immune system for spice has like tripled its awesome. but there are still some home made mexican salsas i cant eat a bunch of they make your ears ring. and you feel high. like if you were smoking weed, well i think that's what you would feel like.

really loving the mission its awesome were having a great time!!! i love it! love you all so much keep up the good work!!!!!!!

love elder lindmeir!

Happy Fall :)

Hi Friends!
This past week was a very exciting one! It was full of so many miracles! I am loving every second of it out here!! I just Love Heavenly Father!!!
And great news! I am staying in Colonial 1st another transfer with Sister Clegg. This will be the first time on my mission that I will be with a companion longer than a transfer. I am really excited, but kind of nervous. I like change and it helps me progress! But I love this ward and I love Sister Clegg; so I am excited!
We have facebook now (as you probably have noticed). But isn't it so exciting?!! We spend an hour a day on facebook! In that time, we can work with people out here, at home, or wherever!!! It is so great! We go to the library to use computers, but we are getting our very own IPADS to proselyte with. They will have our planners and area books on them. They should be coming in December!

All of our investigators are Chinese except Nicole, who is a roommate to many of our members. She has been so prepared and is soaking everything in! We taught her about the Plan of Happiness last time and she said that it just makes sense to her. She especially loved that we believe that the Fall of Adam was part of Heavenly Father's Plan. The Spirit was so strong in the lesson and she said, "I don't know why, but I feel like my heart is open and believes it is true". What he didn't tell her is that is what we prayed for before the lesson with her :). We have a lesson with her tonight and I am so excited!

There was a baptism on Sunday of a Chinese investigator in another Ward. We brought 3 of our investigators to the baptism and they loved it! There was a Chinese Musical number and the Spirit was so strong. Our investigators loved it and are excited to get baptized!!!
Yesterday, we had 5 investigators come to church (Star, Semmi, Legion, Jean and Brooke) and 2 Potential Investigators! It was amazing and a bit overwhelming! Luckily, our members were able to help us out! Sister Clegg and I started this new excel program for working with members to help investigators have an uplifting experience at church. It has been very successful and now our Mission President has found out and wants all the missionaries to start using it! It is very exciting!
Often times, we are too hard on ourselves. I am disappointed in myself all the time! When I am late for an appointment. When I say the wrong thing in a lesson. When I forget a name. When I sleep through the alarm. But in those times, I have forgotten the big picture. That is that through Jesus Christ, we can become better each day. As we follow him and access his atonement we can grow and change!
Lorenzo Snow said it perfectly when he said,“Do not expect to become perfect at once. If you do, you will be disappointed. Be better today than you were yesterday, and be better tomorrow than you are today.”
Let's all remember to not be hard on ourselves, but strive to be better tomorrow!!!

I received this pictures and a sweet note today in my email
Dear Sister Lindmeir,

I had the privilege of visiting with your daughter a few days ago as I toured the Washington DC South Mission.

She is very happy and loving her mission. She loves the work! She is doing an excellent job in helping her junior companion. President Riggs is very proud of her and she is an example to other missionaries.

Thank you for raising a good daughter. May The Lord continue to bless your family.

Sincerely,
Elder Michael Teh

We had such an amazing miracle! i am not sure if you all remember but every monday we have been teaching the Delgado Family. Susie the Mom is a less active member since 17 years old and the daughters Michelle and Natalie are 13 and 15 years old and they are not members. When sister fletcher and i found out that we were going to be together for at least one more transfer together, we wanted to make a goal of what we wanted to accomplish in these next six weeks together. we both agreed that our goal and focus for this transfer were to help Michelle and Natalie make it to the waters of baptism. to accomplish this we decided that every single prayer we were going to say, we were going to pray for them. we did this two weeks straight and oh boy did it work!!! last week on monday we had this amazing lesson with them. we talked about how life is a like a hike and we gave them things that they needed in this hike to help them, like a compass representing the holy ghost and a band aid representing Christ and how he is always going to be there when you fall and pick you back up and heal you. we also said that the first step you take before you go on this hike is baptism and it's just the first thing you do before you is go one this big hike. the hike represents the journey of life. i am not sure if this makes sense on how it is sounding but i wish you all were there. it was so cool and the spirit was so strong and so we decided to ask them if the wanted to Follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized? Before we could finish the whole question they both said YES!!! They are both getting baptized this Saturday! what is so cool about this too is that many missionaries have tried to get in with the Delgados to try and teach them but Susie has never let them in and has never even let her visiting teachers come and teach her or even talk to her! the whole ward is stunned that we have been able to get in. we thought this was pretty exciting! we are so excited for this Saturday, these two girls are so amazing and we love them so much and i am so grateful that i got to be part of bringing them closer to Christ.
i  also learned a valuable lesson from this. if you ask God and do your part, in working hard, following the spirit, being obedient, and praying with you whole heart in faith. he will bring about miracles!
I hope everyone is doing sooooooo amazing and i love you all!

Sister Lindmeir and Sister Fletcher

Sister Waverli Lindmeir

Hey Family!

Last week not much happened because my companion was sick for a couple days but i learned two really cool lessons! so for the past two weeks i have really struggled when teaching lessons! each time it would be my turn to talk during a lesson, i would forget what i was going to say and when it would try to come out, the flow would be choppy. This was really hard for me to understand why because i have been studying the lessons, reading the scriptures, and being perfectly obedient. i couldn't understand why, if i was doing my part in studying, why wouldn't the Holy ghost tell me "in the very hour, yea the very second which i would say". i was getting all beat up about this and i kept on thinking what am i doing wrong. what am i doing to not have the spirit with me? as i was thinking about this and praying about this. The scripture Ether 12:27 kept coming to my mind "And if men come unto me i will show unto them their weakness. i give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient  for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will i make weak things become strong unto them." The Lord as i kept studying and coming closer unto him showed me my weakness, to humble me, and to make that weakness into a strength! what is really cool about this too as i was thinking about this scripture Marcus sent me a letter saying that he has been thinking about this scripture alot and that it is one of his favorites! crazy huh??!! even though we are far away from each other! we think a like :)

Another lesson that i learned this week is that i have grown so much in just three months of being on a mission! Last week i talked to everyone that i saw and i was not scared at all how weird or awkward the question i was asking! which is crazy for me! because i get so awkward and embarrassed at what i say but not last week! it was really cool! Sister Fletcher turned to me last week and said she was so proud of me. she was just so amazed that i could talk to everyone! Talking to people that i don't know has always been a weakness for me and i have really turned to the Lord to help me turn this into a strength< and it is working!

I just know that if all of you turn to the Lord and show unto him your weaknesses, and you do your part, he will turn your weaknesses into strengths! Hope everyone is doing well!

Aloha Team!!!!
Sorry that there was no email last week, but I was enjoying visiting the beautiful DC!!! We had great fun visiting the Smithsonian Museums and Georgetown Cupcakes :). I had a delicious gluten-free cupcake!!! And because of the holiday yesterday, we are emailing today :). These past few weeks have been really incredible and I am very much loving every minute of them!!! Some of the Highlights have included:

  • Halloween!!! We could not proselyte in the evening so we spent the night with our zone! We were pigging out on junk food and watching Disney movies! We watched Monsters University and Mulan!!! Mulan was my pick, but no one else wanted to watch it! My companion and I set up our own TV and watched it in the Church and it has never meant so much to me! I was very emotional during the move; it spoke right to my soul. Sister Clegg and I felt so empowered by it!
  • We went to the Temple Visitors Center with Star and it was so neat!!! We watch the Restoration and we also went into the front entrance of the Temple. Star felt the Spirit so strong. He said that he has never felt so much peace before. We told him after he is baptized on December 21st, he can go inside!!! He is soooo excited for his baptism that he has been telling everyone about it!!! He is so great!!!
  • Semmi (Star's good friend) is also progressing real quickly. She is praying about the right date for her to be baptized!
  • We went to the Temple yesterday (Monday) morning. The drive over there was so beautiful because of all the trees! I learned so much in the Temple yesterday and it was a really neat experience.
  • Also, for Preparation day yesterday, we did Zone crafts (that was my idea). It was really fun and I think everyone enjoyed it! We had a Turkey making competition. I made a cute, giant turkey!!!
  • Lastly, I will be on facebook today and will be using that as a way to share the Gospel. I have been waiting for this day for so long! I am looking forward to being able to not only share the Gospel with people in VA, but I can share it with anyone around the world!!!
Have a great week!!!

funny story we picked up a new investigator ? and shared the restoration lesson with her and after we were finished and was ready for the closing prayer she put out her hands and he grabbed it for the prayer and then she started to yell but not yelling English but in tongues! i couldn't understand her and she was shaking her body just speaking some random language that doesn't even exist, me and elder moolenbeek looked at each other and just started busting up laughing, but holding it in as long as we could, it was awesome!

Sister Waverli Lindmeir

Hey Family!
GUESS WHAT??!!!!!!!!! I AM GETTING TRANSFERRED TO.......... CANADA!!! hahaha just kidding i am staying in Wenatchee with Sister Fletcher for at least six more weeks! which makes me so happy because she is such an amazing missionary and we have a lot of great things going on! k we get a text from some changes were made though. we are now only covering the  Columbia hills ward instead of the eastmont and columbia hills. i am a little sad but now we can really focus on helping the columbia hills ward.
some of the amazing things that are going on in this area is we got six more investigators last week and they are so awesome! they were are referrals from people!
Last week we get a text from a bishop from moses lake to go see this lady named judy and her daughter sarah that just moved into our ward boundaries. so we go to her house and  knock on her door. when she opens the door, she asks us did the bishop send you here? and we said yes and she let us in! we started talking to her and she knows the bishop because she has worked with him for many years. Judy recently just got through a divorce and had one of her sons pass away. she told us that at work the bishop would talk to her a lot about what mormons believe and he said that he would send missionaries to her when she moved to talk to her and pray for her and she said okay! as we were talking to Judy, she said that she believed all this happened because God was punishing her for all the bad things in her life. Sister Fletcher and I started Testifying to her that is not the reason and that her Heavenly Father is there for her and loves her so much, and that one day she will get to see her son again. she started crying and she knew that this was true.
we also recieved two couples that we are teaching and they are awesome! They are just like Joseph Smith and are really trying to find out which church is true!
Tomorrow we have a baptism for this sweet girl named Jadelyn. she is 13 and she is so ready to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized! The Sisters before us taught her most of the lessons so we didn't have to teach her much. she is so awesome and i am really excited for her!
i am so thankful that i get to stay in this area for at least six more weeks. i feel like this is every missionaries dream area because we are finding and teaching so much (not baptizing much yet though) haha but we are working on it! i am so thankful for members who share the gospel with their friends so we can teach them and i am so thankful for the peace the gospel brings to us. i love that we know that when someone we love passes away, we will see them again and we can be with them forever!
hope everyone is doing so great! i love you all!

Elder Lindmeir

howdee! lindmeir family! weeks are going by so fast now! i honestly feel like i just wrought to all you. my stories are going to get shorter and shorter cause everything just goes by a blur! well first off I'm done with training!!!!! hahaha and I'm leading my area like a boss! I'm really excited to have all the pressure on me for a little, so i can learn and grow like 5 times more! i guess you all got my letters and my videos. i hope you enjoyed them! yeah we have fun but the funnest part is working as hard as we can!!!!!!! running up and down the streets to give out law of Chasity pamphlets and plan of salvation cards! its awesome! just being a part of peoples lives is really cool.

last night we get a call from a member asking us to teach her seminary class at 6:00 and we so did it. it was about the book of Enos! in the first 2 verses it says "and i wrestled before god" and we discussed this with the class. what does wrestle with god mean? and then me and elder board started to wrestle and after we said its not like that. and we had awesome visuals and games the class was having a blast and towards the end we had a really spiritual class. it was Legit!
i cant really explain everything to you in writing but wow it was fun!

this week was a good one worked really hard, and had some awesome success!

we were walking up a hill and we saw this lady walking down with two hiking poles, i said" wow nice walking poles i need a set of those" and she said "yeah they help me alot" then i said "yeah i bet!" and then as we passed her to the top of the hill my companion looked at me and said " wow man you know that women was blind right?" i had a laugh.

Halloween was awesome! thank you so much for the box of candy! we used some of it for the little kids to have. when they knock on the dorr i would swing the door open and scare them! it was fun! we have been talking with a Muslim family they are really curious and want to learn more. the only problem is that if people know that they are taking lessons that aren't Muslim they can be in serious danger. its pretty crazy.

well I'm having an awesome time and wow 3 months in already??? dang goes by fast! love you all so much!!!!

Elder Lindmeir's week

HI everybody!!!

well its good to hear from all you this week! sounds like everyone is doing awesome!!!! shivani who is Chris? i might have to hurt him.... wow  its crazy how  you and the German exchange student look alike I'm scared. ha ha sounds fun you guys went motorcycling just having a blast! well i had fun too this week! i don't really remember but i know i did. its weird because everyday is going by faster and faster and its getting really hard to remember what happened but there were a few things that were really awesome!!! o ya happy b day shivani!!!!! I'm sorry i didn't even know, but i hope you still love me!!!

so we picked up a new investigator, now he is a freak en genius, its so funny when we teach him because he will ask us the hardest questions that are irelavant to the lesson. like we were talking about the restoration and then he asks us " do you believe in aliens?" i was laughing hes like a 260 pound Samoan guy, but hes awesome. since alot of the questions are really deep doctrine he will ask it and then elder board will answer back cause most of the time i don't know the answer. then he will look at me and ask me, ha ha sometimes i don't know the answer so i just start to laugh, but its all good I'm learning a bunch!!!

? went to church again with his kids! its awesome to see the happiness that the gospel brings to them awh i love it!!! there progressing really well, and were excited for them!

i ate pig skin tacos a few days ago, pretty much the most disgusting thing, i don't get it, Mexican tacos are so good when its chicken or carne asada but why do they have to go the extra mile and ruin it! with pig skin, its just a chunk of pig skin that is on a taco, its not tasty, it was rubbery and chewy, and full of juices. ha ha i ate 2 of them. it was funny.

it was a great week were killing it!!! next week is transfers I'm most likely going to stay and lead the area! its pretty legit! well i love you all so much! I'm pumped for all you keep up the good work, dad thanks for the advice i love it! i wrought all you letters today so i hope you like them. love you!!!!

Hello Family!
Last week went by in a blurr! Everyday we had an appointment, after appointment, after appointment! it was so crazy but awesome!
We have been so busy and very blessed and alot of great things have been happening here in Wenatchee.
Last week we were given a list of people who are in our ward, that nobody new about, but the bishop wanted us to go see. we did the whole list except for this one name because on the side of her name, it said "DO NOT CONTACT" hates missionaries and the LDS church. This made Sister Fletcher and i a little nervous but we finally got the courage to knock on her her door. As we were standing there, bracing ourselves for a lady to come scream at us, a cute little 14 year old answered the door and started talking to us, she was really nice and seemed interested in what we were saying. while we were talking to her, her mom drives into the driveway. sister Fletcher and i thought "oh no! here comes the screaming!!" but when she got of the car, she was so nice and seemed really interested in what we were saying too! she told us we could come back the next day and talk to her and her family. so we went back the next day and we started teaching their whole family! they have a great believe in God and Jesus Christ and they told us that they have been searching for a religion. we have another appointment with them tonight! The funny thing about this story is the lady that was supposed to come out and scream at us, nobody knows at that house who it is! it just shows that if you are willing and have the faith to do what the Lord needs you to do, he will put people in your path to teach and that are ready to hear the gospel!
We had Elder Ballard, the Apostle come and talk to our whole mission on saturday and it was so cool! he really got us excited for missionary work and to not waste any of the Lords time!
so i have a super funny story to tell! So i have been praying for an experience just like Elder Marcus Lindmeir had a couple weeks ago with Robert. How he was able to find somebody in need, help him, change his life and bring him closer to God. So last night we were driving in the dark and we see a man walking up this hill by himself. So i tell Sister Fletcher to turn around and see if we can go help him. we turn around and ask him if he needs any help. he comes over to our car and we find out he only speaks spanish. i can't speak any spanish and Sister Fletcher can only say my house is your house in spanish and crazy chicken! thats it! so were on the side of the road trying to figure out how to help him, so we call the spanish sister missionaries in our ward to talk to him, and they do, but then they hang up, so we don't know what he needs help with. then we call the zone leaders that speak spanish and talk to him a little while, then hang up on us too! so we have no idea what this guy needs help with! we try to explain we are missionaries, and then he starts handing us his passport and license and all this other stuff and we are so confused! So sister fletcher starts speaking the only spanish she knows knows which is my house is your house and crazy chicken! then he starts writing words in spanish and is trying to help sister fletcher understand what it means and he is standing there looking deeply into her eyes and is trying to help her understand what it means. i am on the passenger side just laughing histerically because i know that one of the words he was saying means beautiful and this goes on for like an hour! finally it gets a little creepy so i start saying Oddyose Oddyose because he just wouldnt leave! so finally we just drive away and go to our ward missionary leaders house and ask him to translate what is on this paper. he translates it using his phone and google and apparently it means something really dirty and he just wanted to hook up with us white girls! hahaha the morale of the story is, we shouldn't pray for missionary opportunities like other missionaries have haha just kidding. i am not sure why we had that experience but i have never laughed so hard in my life!
Everything is going really well here! i love all the people we are teaching and we are having so much success! transfer calls are this week and i am really nervous because i don't want to leave all these amazing people we are teaching, i love my companion, and i love this area! but i know wherever i go is where the Lord needs me. hope all is well with Everyone!
Love, Sister Lindmeir

Happy Halloween!!!!!

Hello Team,

This week was so wonderful and so full of miracles!!!!! I have been looking forward to telling you all about my exciting adventures this week! Here is the greatest:
  • We are starting online proselyting next transfer! Which means I will be using my same  facebook account and using facebook as a way to bring people closer to Jesus Christ! We will also be getting I pads and I Phones to help with the work. I don't know all the details now, but I do know that I will have the opportunity to teach people from home too :). I am sooooooooo excited!!!!
  • We taught our first ESL class this week! Our Ward missionaries have put it together and we do it every Wednesday night. We spend the last half hour teaching them a Gospel Principle (this is optional for them). We only had one person come, but that is because we did not start handing out flyers. Eventually, I think there will be a lot of people that come!
  • We have the GREATEST investigators ever!!!! Especially our investigator, Star!!! If you watched the video then you know a little about him. But anyways, he told us that the greatest thing that has happened to him since he came to the U.S is when he met us. He recognizes the Spirit so well. He loves learning and he has brought many friends for us to teach too :)
  • We had the Washington DC South Mission Sisters Conference this week. It was soooo great to see all my old companions and to learn from President and Sister Riggs. They talked about the power that us Sisters have. I loved this quote: “The man holds the Priesthood, performs the priestly duties of the Church, but his wife enjoys with him every other privilege derived from the possession of the Priesthood. This is made clear, as an example, in the Temple service of the Church. The ordinances of the Temple are distinctly of Priesthood character, yet women have access to all of them” (Priesthood and Church Government [1965], 83). It makes me so happy to know that I do have access to all the blessings from the priesthood :)
  • Stake Conference was yesterday and it was broadcasted in our church building. We had three Chinese investigators come. But Stake Conf. was not what I thought it would be. We were having major technical difficulties and I was having a hard time understanding what any one was saying. We had two people from the quorum of 70 come. I had so much anxiety about it the whole time. I passed out mints to keep them awake. I was praying so hard that it would start to work and that it would be okay. I was sad when it didn't for the whole two hours. And I was worried why Heavenly Father didn't help. However; afterward, I told my investigators how sorry I was. They each replied saying that they couldn't understand a word, but that they felt very peaceful throughout. They felt the Spirit. So I learned that Heavenly Father did indeed answer my prayer, but that it was just different than what I thought. They are all looking forward to coming to church next week :)
I hope that each of you have a great week, full of costumes and treats (and maybe some tricks;)).
Love you,
Sister Kiana Lindmeir

Elder Lindmeir's Week!

hey family! hows everyone?! this week was a fast one, feels just like yesterday i wrote you. thank you for the letters mom i got it, for some reason it was late but I did get it, thank you so much! i love the colors they fit in my color palete. I love getting letters from all of you, its hard for me to wright them, i don't get how everyone else does it, i honestly have 0 time to do it. We usually play football or soccer all day on pday or we get and do something else, we never stay at home and have time to wright letters, I'm sorry but ill try to make it up for the letters i send on my emails.
this week was honestly amazing! since we walk everywhere we meet a bunch of people a day, and as we walk to appointments we set goals, like give out a plan of salvation pamphlet in 10 minutes. we do this to make it fun cause we walk all day, and one of the challenges was a word of wisdom pamphlet, and as we were walking i saw a guy smoking and had a cup of coffee so we ran to go give him one pamphlet and as we talked about it, he realised how bad smoking and coffee is and it really hit him and he really liked the churches stand point of the word of wisdom. although he didn't want us to teach him it was so nice to share him a little testimony of the church.

this Monday we had a lesson at a recent converts home, and they brought there friend and we taught his friend the restoration of the gospel. the spirit was so strong as we shared the first vision that he was crying, and then we invited him to be baptised and he said yes. baptismal date on November 17th.

we picked up some new investigator great people, we have 7 investigators right now and been teaching them alot hopefully we will be able to help them out by sharing the gospel. so far its been awesome there all great people, one of our investigators went to church with his two daughters this was his second time ever at church and we had the primary program, and the  primary president went up to the girls during sacrament and gave them the primary songs for the program, they got up there and sang amazing! He was so happy all the members treated him so great and he really is liking church hopefully we will be able to get him baptised soon.

funny story we were walking and contacting and we came across this guy and right off the bat he gave each of us 20 bucks, and told us to pray for him and so we did, it was weird but we did. then he put his hand on each of our heads and gave us the scariest prayer Ive ever heard. it was like a weird prayer but at the same time he cared about us so it was weird. he said something like " protect these missionaries and never let them feel of your demons" alot more but cant remember it was so weird, then he started to cry and was so grateful for us,... he was drunk but then gave us another 20 bucks each. we said no but he made us take it. so now I'm 40 bucks richer its kinda funny.

one last story we went to a restaurant like betos and my companion ordered a fish taco and he went to bite it and a cockroach popped right out and ran across his plate! ha ha it was so funny... the gross thing about it he ate the whole taco. i lost my appetite just seeing it.

well love you all so much so grateful for all the things you do for me, pray for you all every night i miss you all but that's what motivates me to come home with honor!!!!! love you all so much ill hear from you all soon!

Hey Family!
Alot of things happened last week! it was a really crazy, funny, hard, and sad in some ways week! On Monday last week we had an amazing lesson with a part member family. There two daughters michelle and natalie are 14 and 15 and the mom is a really less active member. we taught them the restoration and it was so cool. we told them about the book of mormon and they said they would read it and pray about it! they are so golden! they love everything about what we have been teaching them! and we hope to put them on date for baptism tonight when we teach them the plan of salvation! Tuesday, my companion was really sick! Wednesday was a rough day because everything was falling through and nothing was going right and then we found out that are most progressing investigator is involved in homo-sexual relationships and we didn't know that. then that same night me and my companion get a a voice mail from the president telling us to call him as soon as we can! we call him and he asks if we can cover our ward and another ward because the elders in that ward got transferred suddenly! so on thursday we pick up all the elders information from the eastmont ward and start looking at it and start trying to figure out how we are going to cover two wards. we look in the area book, which holds all the information for everyone you teach and find out that the elders didnt up date the book so we had no idea who they were teaching, what they have been teaching, and where anybody lives! so we call the ward missionary leader and the bishop to try to help us figure out who the missionaries have been teaching but they were both out of town. so all weekend we felt pretty lost haha. then on sunday we figured everything out though so we are good now! Sunday night we had a lesson with this lady named tera. Tera has family in our ward and went to church with them last week and loved it. she has a little daughter and she really wants to have religion in her life. we were able to have the lesson in her families home and it went so well! we taught her the restoration, she told us shebelieved everything that we were telling us and that it all made sense to her because she has great faith in Gpd and Jesus Christ. We told her about the bbook of Mormon and she said she would read it and then we invited her to be baptized for november 16th and she said Yes! then she said the most amazing prayer at the end of the lesson that i have ever heard! it was so cool and this was just the first lesson!!!!!! Right after that lesson, we had a lesson with Brianna and Summer, who we have been teaching for four weeks now and that were on date for baptism for November 2. we taught them the plan of salvation last night and we asked them what Jesus Christ means to them. they both said nothing and that they didn't know anything about him. Stab in my heart because all we have been doing for the past four weeks has been telling them everything that Christ did for us. So Sister Fletcher starts baring her testimony about Jesus Christ and it was so amazing that i was so overcome with the spirit that i just start crying and then i bore my testimony about Christ too. i have never felt the spirit so strongly in my life and i know that everything that me and my companion said was from the holy ghost and we know it was what the Lord wanted us to say. coolest experience ever!
i hope everyone is doing amazing!

I love CHINESE people!!!!

Hello Team Sister Lindmeir!
Not much has happened since last Wednesday when I wrote you, but there are a couple things worth sharing. They are things that I love about Chinese People :)
First, They actually show up to scheduled appointments! We got two new great investigators this week.  They are both students from China but speak great Chinese! We met ? last week just walking in his apartment. We talked to him and set up an appointment to meet with him. And I love Chinese people because they actually show up to their appointments (I am not used to this). But when he came for the appointment, he brought his friend, and we taught them the Restoration. It went so well, and as we talked about the priesthood authority, He said "Where can I find that authority?!" They are both so "hungry" for the truth.

Second, Chinese people have great nicknames! Almost all our investigators are Chinese, but they choose American names or choose nicknames. They trying to come up with a good English name, so his name will probably change soon. Our other investigators are Brooke, Annabel, Bridget, Justin, Liam, Karen, Stephanie; all of which were chosen from their favorite American TV Show, movie, etc. Ha it is great!
Third, Chinese people don't understand sarcasm. We were talking to ? about American jokes and if Chinese people understand them. She said no and she especially does not understand sarcasm. She then said "Chinese people don't use sarcasm, they usually try to be polite". WOW, I couldn't stop laughing. It taught me a good lesson to be more aware of sarcasm; no only on my mission, but afterward as well!
I loved President Monson's Talk from Conference when he said:
"The difficulties which come to us present us with the real test of our ability to endure. A fundamental question remains to be answered by each of us: Shall I falter, or shall I finish? Some do falter as they find themselves unable to rise above their challenges. To finish involves enduring to the very end of life itself."
I now encourages you to ask yourself this question: "Shall I falter, or shall I finish?". I hope and pray that each of you will choose to "finish". President Monson continued to say
"Only the Master knows the depths of our trials, our pain, and our suffering. He alone offers us eternal peace in times of adversity. He alone touches our tortured souls with His comforting words:
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
“For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”9
Whether it is the best of times or the worst of times, He is with us. He has promised that this will never change...
May we ever strive to be close to our Heavenly Father. To do so, we must pray to Him and listen to Him every day. We truly need Him every hour, whether they be hours of sunshine or of rain. May His promise ever be our watchword: “I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”10
I know that what President Monson has said is true! Put it to the test. Pray to our Heavenly Father and he will never leave you!!!
I love you all so much!!!!

Pictures and Sister Kiana's Lindmeir week

Hello Team Sister Lindmeir!
I hope all is well this week and that you had a wonderful holiday on Monday :). This past week was... interesting, but really great! A lot of great things happened! And once again I learned some very important lessons:
#1. Don't knock on old houses with big dogs. Last Thursday, we decided to do some tracting. We knock on someones door (Dad-3 times to be exact) and we waited patiently. All of a sudden, a dog runs up to the door and pounds on it. He also jumps and knocks a vase over and it breaks the small window next to the door. So anyways, the owner of the house comes out and starts yelling at us. He tells us to wait by the door until the cops come. He asks for our information and I give him a pass-a-long card with Jesus Christ on the front (I knew it would come in handy). But unfortunately the man was probably atheist because he did not care. We called President Riggs and President Riggs asked us if the glass was outside or inside the house. We said outside and so there was our proof. The problem was I think the owner heard because when we were talking to the cops he moved it from outside the house to inside the house. Gratefully, the cops believed us. I mean who would you believe?? The cops told is it was illegal to tract (which is not true) and so we have to be careful for a while. However President Riggs is taking care of it.
#2. Don't say you took a language for 3 years unless you can actually speak it. We met a man named Christian last week while street contacting. He was so great, but didn't speak very good English. He is from Kongo and speaks french. But I didn't even know that he had a french accent at the time. Well anyways, he comes to the lesson and we find out he speaks french. We couldn't understand each other very well in the lesson, so my companion offers for me to listen in french and interpret. I pretty much knew that this would be a failure, but I gave it a go. I knew nothing he said and so ya it was pretty funny. But don't worry the next lesson we got a french speaker and it went great! And I am determined to learn some french now.
#3. YSA Wards are the best! This was pretty much a given, but I really am loving this ward. All the members are so excited about missionary work and even with their crazy, busy schedules, they always make time for missionary work.
#4. A mission goes by way too fast (as you return missionaries know). But on the 9th, I was officially half way through my mission. It is hard to think that I have been out 9 mo. but looking back I can see that I have changed. I am still "Kiana", but I am a better "Kiana". This time goes by too fast and I refuse to take any second for granted. There is nothing more rewarding than being in the service of my God.
I love you all! Have a wonderful week!

Sister Waverli Lindmeir

Hey Family!

I am sorry that my emails have been so short and brief lately! Me and my companion have been super busy! and i am super slow at typing! :)

Here are some things that have been going on since i have been in Wenatchee:
So we have been teaching this family called the ? family and they are so amazing! they love the missionaries but have never really been taught about the gospel. So sister Fletcher and i decided to teach them the Gospel of Jesus Christ using this really awesome visual experiment. When we were teaching them, the spirit was so strong and we were able to ask them the baptismal question and they said yes! We put them on date for November 2. We have been meeting with them twice a week but the two youngest daughters are the only ones that have been getting taught the lessons consistently and one of them might be going to Juvy and the others have just been sick and really busy. They are such a great family and the adversary knows  how amazing members of the church they would be and he is doing all he can from keeping them from progressing! But we will not let him get them!
So last week everything we had planned fell through and everyone we wanted to visit was not there so it has been a tough week but we know that when nothing is going right there is a miracle about to happen! I am sorry that I don't say that much I truly am so slow at typing but I just want y'all to know that i am doing great and I love the area I am serving in! I love being able to teach about Christ and I feel as we help others faith grow, mine grows stronger. Hope all is going well with everyone and I love you all!

Elder Lindmeir's update!!

Hey family, sounds like you all are doing great, shivani thanks for the picture ( a few tears were shed) but I'm glad to hear everyone is doing good.... i cant believe its been 3 months about, its gone by fast! I'm ready to get out of training, i still got like 2 and half weeks of it but honestly getting trained isn't the funnest thing. just because he feels like he has to lead everything so I'm still kinda in a shell but i slowly opening it more and more. this week was a pretty awesome week, besides i got the flu. On Wednesday I threw up about 20 times. What a great experience, it was around ten that day when we got a call that a family needed help moving so i got up and even though felt like death helped them move for four hours, and then went back and slept. I'm still recovering i still got the head ache but nothing to serious.
This week we got alot done! We picked up four new investigators! and even better we gave three of them to YSA!!! ha ha yeah that part stinks but the one we got is getting baptised on the 17 of November. and the one of the investigators for the ysa that we found is getting baptised on November 4th i think, and shes pretty firm on that, so it should be fun.
Robert is doing great his girlfriend just got out of jail and there living together,(not so good part) but they have no where to go they have no family that will support them they only got themselves so were going to try and get them married. but they are golden! hopefully they will get baptised sometime this next week.

It was kinda surprise we so Adrian at church on Sunday and he really like it so we will be teaching him more and his two little daughters. he was the one where his back hurt and i gave him the blessing. the work here is good I cant complain, because I'm most likely going to be here for 7 months..... its going to be long but its a good place. When elder board leaves theres alot of things i want to change, like walking everywhere, I wanna move to bikes, our area is small but takes like 1 hour and a half to get from one side to the other through walking and that's just a waste of time, but were doing great and having a blast! i love elder board, sometimes we argue and he usually wins but he means right.

thank you mom again for the package with the swords and for all the letters, I haven't got any letters for the past two weeks. i really like them but its fine if you don't, o yeah could you send me my black scriptures with my blacks scripture case and brown scripture case. that would be awesome my scriptures are breaking/ripping and i don't want to damage those ones to much. that would be awesome mom. i love you so much mom I took advantage for all the things you did for me I'm sorry. I love you so much you are the best mom ever. keep it up mom and dad and the family I'm so proud of all you, love you all so much!!!
