VISTA!!!!!

Hey family so i got transfered to Vista 5th ward!!! woot woot! this area is so tiny so i am pumped to teach everyone here!!!!! ya its the best although i totally miss valley center, already.... there will always be a place in my heart for good old country valley center.
first off my new companion is elder Orgill he was my zone leader when i was a new missionarry and i looked up to him like no other so its cool to be his comp. hes pritty awesome i mean hes a boss probobly like the most spiritual man i know. a quick story about how spiritual he is. i get into the area and the # sheets for our zone are all mis placed and just supper badly organized and i was supper suprised since you know how amazing this elder was so everymorning i would wake up earlier and fix it all and study the # to decide what we should train these missionaries on and how we all together as missionaries can increas this work and after i came up with 3 ideas Elder Orgill just tells me this. " i really dont look at the # and stuff but i just pray about it, and so he did and he came up with the exact same 3 things as me. you know im glad i did the work but its cool to see what revelations the lord gives us when we are truely asking and seeking.
o yeah so my comp only has 6 weeks to before he goes home. so thats kind of funny how that worked out.

this week was full of miracles and ill tell you a couple that i remeber the best.
#1 we were driving down the road in ome apartment complexis and im driving and i see this kid walking and as were about to pass him i roll down my window to let my comp talk and we talk to him and we schedual an appointment for that night at 8 and we showed up tought him about the Restoration and he accepted to work, and repent and change his ways to follow christ!
#2 we have an investigator named Brian and wow hes a straight up boss!!! his girl freind is a member but is inactive. as we are teaching him about the restoration he just feels the spirit so strongly and just new it was true and as his girlfriend walks in he goes up to her and tells her about the book of mormon and says along the lines of " did you know that the book of mormon is the word of god from the americas?? " and he kept going on and on and his girl friend just asks him " what about your questions? like were are the gold plates?" and Brian says " well what about the 10 commandments?? i dont care, this is the evidence!" it was awesome to truely see what the excitement of the message of the restoration really gave him.
also we tought him the plan of salvation with the word of wisdom, because he drinks and smokes and drinks coffee. and this time when we are teaching him his girlfriend joined the lesson and as we tought the word of wisdom everything just clicked with him, and it was so funny because that was on sunday morning and he had a cup of coffee in his hands while we were teaching and after he heard the word of wisdom he totally commited to live it and the funniest part about it his girl friend was like " why do we have to stop drinking coffee? coffee is good for you???" and before we even answer brian says " its a commandment from god besides whats the worse thing that coukd happen? i mean when we die and god looks to judge us atleast we can say we gave up coffee for him." it was so awesome this mans faith insprires me to be believeing and to live every commandment to the fullest!
#3 this was the highlight for the week!!!! so the last week we finally got one of our members friends do go to church and he absolutly loved it!!! and the night i got transfered they tought him and he excepted to get baptized! and hes getting baptized next week!!! in 10 days he totally changed his life. and yesterday i went back to valley center for someone and i saw blake and he was so appreciative for us pushing the member to invite him to church and it was so cool tosee that awesome miracle!!!!! the work is true and it totally means the world to me to be here and to give a just a little bit of my time for people to have an eternity to enjoy ythere life. i love you alll the gospel of jesus christ is the only way to feel true happiness in this life. love you all!!!

I'm Staying!

It was crazy to find out on Saturday when transfer calls came that i am actually staying here in West Richland! I am so glad that i get to stay though because i know that my work here is not finished yet. Sister Jessee my companion is leaving though. She is going to Moses Lake. I was sure that i was going to send her home. Sister Jessee just has just 6 weeks left on her mission so we were so suprised to hear that she is leaving! I am receiving Sister Faulkner and i hear that she is a hard worker so I can't wait!

I don't have a lot of time to write today but here is something really cool that happened! So one of the sets of Sister Missionaries that Sister Jessee and i serve have really struggled finding people to teach in their area. In the past 6 weeks they hadn't found one new investigator. This really puzzled me because these Sisters are really obedient Sisters and they work really hard! Sister Jessee have been praying a lot to know how we could help them. Then i remembered a story that i think it was Kiana did. What she did on her mission with her district is they said a faithful prayer together and then they went out for an hour and did all they could to find people to teach. Sister Jessee and i presented the idea to the Mission President and he said we could try it!

Sister Jessee and i call it the "Faithful Hour"! So when Sister Jessee and i met up with the Sisters we both acted overly excited and pumped and ready to go filled with the faith of knowing God would provide these Sisters to Find Someone to teach. We Said a faithful Humble Prayer that God would lead these Sisters to Find Someone to teach. The Sister I went with had chose and prayed about a street to go on the night before when we go there, My heart dropped a little. The street we were going to tract on was only filled with these huge houses! i brushed it aside and just knew that God would provide for these Sisters to find somebody to teach. We start Knocking on the doors and door after door, slammed in our faces. We didn't even have time to say anything. Then when people did let us speak they would just start bashing. We had about 5 minuted left and i asked Sister Larsen Which door do you think needs us. She pointed at a house and we went to it. The person answered the door and was nicer but not interested. I didn't want to go back just yet because we both felt that someone was ready there. In the middle of the driveway we said a prayer that God would help us to know where to go. As we ended our prayer we heard someone rolling their garbage can down the driveway, we both knew that this was an answer to our prayer! We went to go talk to this person. His name is paul and as we were talking to him, he was like my wife and i have actually been looking for a church to go to! We taught him a brief restoration and gave him a book of Mormon and prayed with him, and set a return appointment. He is awesome!!

It is sooo cool that with faith anything is truly possible! God, is a God of miracles but only works according to our faith. It was a really cool experience and we were all filled with grattitude that God really helps us find people to teach!

Love you all! Love Sister Lindmeir

GETTING TRANSFERED!!!!!!!!! after 6 months!Elder Lindmeir

yeah got the call there kicking me out hahaha! dang is it hard to leave an area were so much happened and such a great place were so many memories and miracles have happened..... but I am PUMPED!!!! to go into a new area and to kill it and give it everything!!!!!!! ewww im so ready!!!! this area has tought me by far the most out of any area, I have learned to be Bold, Confident and a simple teacher and to always be focused on the work so with this and everything else plus the lord great things are going to come!

honestly a lot happened this week but the biggest thing that I learned this week is just what an impact we have on peoples lives and how with the calling that we have that we are able to take control of situations and people accually listen, to 2, 20 year olds. got a couple of stories that happened this week about what im talking about.

Story #1 we heard a party going on in the trailor park and heard like a bunch of hespanics having a party so of course we decided to go and meet with them and when we get there we soon find out that theres a birthday party going on for accually one of the people we have tought before and we introduced ourselves the everyone at the family party and we ate tacos and just started to teach this whole family and half way through two more hespanics come and join in and one of them is a pastor for his church and has been to school and studying religion for 14 years!!! when he showed up theres two things we could of done. #1 be quit about sharing the gospel so we don't argue and dispute in front of the family or #2 and confidently teach and testify. we chose #2 and took over the situation and tought the pastor and he tought a little to me and we found common ground and honestly out of the 15 minutes we were there you could tell that there heart was softening and they were going to start warming up to us and the gospel. now we are teaching the younger son in the family!!!

#2 we had a dinner last night and to our surprise they had brought there entire family over and ha huge FHE and there were 6 non-members and and at first you could tell that we could of either talked about work and all there hobbies or take control teach and to testify and we really did and 2 of them are going to be taking the lessons in a different area. I love the calling we have to represent the lord!!! and all that we have and the talents we are given and the gifts that we need to obtain on the mission.

I know its a supper short email today but im half asleep so if I had misspelled something its because of that.
well family thanks for everything love you all all I will let you know were I am going!!!!!

Time flies by Elder Lindmeir

so I just got an email from the President that the sisters who came out with me only have 7 weeks left...... what the????? time is going way to fast!!!!! it scares me!!!!! I never wana go. but istill got time... luckily.
but to talk about better and more fun and exciting things that happened this week!
#1 we went to this family we are teaching and they leave and the Indian Rez and its a little sketch there but not to bad, but the last time we went we saw one of the guys who lives with this family that we are teaching totally do a drug deal right in front of us. so back to the story we show up and the family wasn't home but that one guy that I saw from doing the drug deal was there and his name is Devon. so we started to talk and soon he pretty much told us his whole life story about how hes trying to support his girlfriend and shes pregnant and that he cant get a job and all these other problems and he asks me pretty much how he can get his life together. I don't know why but instead of bringing up Christ and the Atonement I just started to throw down on him about doing drugs..... it honestly was the funniest thing. After about 20 minutes of making him feel like dirt because of his drug deals, we totally tought him and his girlfriend and they loved it! we watched the movie Hope of Gods light. it really touched them and it was really cool to see the difference in there willingness to learn after that video. so we picked up him his girlfriend and a sister who lives in the house with them as new investigators and hopefully will be helping them prepare to become clean.

#2 Tony!
so we were driving in Lilac Oaks which is a campground and as we are driving away we see the Hispanic kid walking home from school and we pull over and roll down our windows and start to talk with him and we just simply asked if he had 10minutes so we can share our message and he totally accepts! so we go to his house and we start tePreview attachment FullSizeRender.jpg
aching and getting to know him and honestly he lives in the trailer and is probably one of the humblest people I know and he was loving the restoration. at the end of the lesson we asked him if we could come by tomarrow around the same time and he agrees but the crazy thing about it was the fact was tomorrow was his birthday. we asked him what he was going to do for his birthday but he just simply rolled his shoulders and told us nothing. it honestly was the saddest thing in the world, I mean this guy is only 15 yrs. old and he gets nothing. so we decided to bake him some cookies and tought him again and totally loves it and there's a lot of growth from this part in his life now.

#3 Sick move!!!!
so we moved a member from our ward who lives in the mountains!! and his house he build and its in a rock, and its super sad because he sleeps on a dirt ground and he just hides up in the mountains and does work during the day tosupport his family who live in mexico. Anyways we drive our truck to his place and we fit his whole house and all of his stuff in our truck!!! and I was driving! it was awesome and this guy can barely speaking English and he wears 2 different pairs of shoes all of his clothes are towrn up and he just has what we would call junk are his treasures and after we moved him it took literally no longer than 40minutes but he wips out a 20 dollar bill from his wallet and it was the only cash he had and he wanted us to take it... right then and there I just started to literally cry and it was such a humbling experience to see this cute man with nothing ready to give us 20 bucks wich would probably equal to like a normal person about 200 to 300 bucks. probably and he never asks for any money from the church, he does it all on his own and he never misses a day of church and he walks there and its probably like 15miles away from were he lived. people like this inspire and humble people like me, and it was such a great experience to do that for him!

I love the work here in the mission this is the greatest thing and honestly its the best! love you all!!!

What Joy fills my heart!

The best thing ever happened this week! On friday i got a letter from Cailey Loyd. Do you all remember my friend Cailey that i ran cross country with? When i opened the letter she wrote me a thank you card and a letter. In the letter Cailey starts off saying i got baptized! At this point i was like bawling! My whole mission i have thought about Cailey often, and how much i wanted to share the gospel with her even more! six or seven months before my mission when Cailey and i ran at Simplot we had a heart to heart and Cailey told me her beliefs about God one night. I shared with her my testimony and told her how much the book of mormon has helped me in my life. I told her i would give her a book of mormon. i gave Cailey a Book of Mormon and i wrote my testimony in it a couple of days later at school. she told me she didn't have time to read it during the school year but she said she would read it in the summer. After i left on my mission i just hoped and prayed that Cailey would really read it that summer.

In Caileys letter she said that she always thought religion was something to lean on and was just to make you feel Good. A few months ago Cailey was having a hard time, and decided to read the Book of Mormon. Cailey read it and had lots of questions. one of her roomates at the U was a member and Cailey asked her lots of questions. Her friend was like you should just talk to the missionaries.  Cailey said okay and so she met with them. She told me that she really struggled with prophets and first but came to know that the church was really true. She told me how grateful she was for the light that i had when she was always around me and all the Cross Country kids! What joy fills my heart. i am so filled with grattitude!. Whenever i honestly think about it! i shed a few tears because the Gospel has already changed Caileys life. What is so cool about Caileys conversion is that pretty much the whole high school, cross country team, and all her friends helped in her conversion. It's so cool to see how our examples, the light that we have, people see it and notice it. So go out and let your light shine!

Here are some awesome miracles that happened:
miracle #1: We got a refferal to go see this girl named MoMo. We go over for a lesson and she had already read the Book of Mormon in two weeks!!!!!! Sister Jessee and i were so suprised that we looked like two giddy little kids on Christmas morning! We could not believe it! She is so awesome! she is so open and just wants to learn more about God. Her dad just got baptized and loves how much her dad has changed from the gospel and wants that for herself1

Miracle #2: we got another referral from another set of missionaries. the refferals name is Diana and the text said, she wants to come to church and she needs a ride. Sunday morning Sister Jessee and i were like lets go see her. We honestly were not expecting this text to be true. when we knocked on Diana's door, she opened it and said, the other sister missionaries said you would come and take me to church!  we found her a ride to church and she came! it was stake conference yesterday and we were worried she would not like it, but it is so cool how God inspires people to know what to say. A lot of the talks were focused on Christ and when we looked over at Diana, tears were strolling down her face. it was exactly what she needed to hear.

Diana is just awesome! after the meeting she was like, i really liked that. i want to learn more and i want some friends here! hahahahh Sister Jessee and i are just really grateful for how much this area is picking up and how God is Helping us find people to teach. He is literally handing us them and i am so grateful for other missionaries who talk to everyone!

Things are going amazing! i love you all! i love this work!

The mission is the best thing in the world!!!!!!!Elder Lindmeir

CHECK IT OUT!!!! GOT THIS IN THE MAIL THIS MORNING!

Julie

I hope I've got the right lindmeir. My name is Julie Plyler. If you are serving in the Carlsbad CA mission then I do have the right guy. You may not remember me, but I am related to Rosie Carbajal. You met with Rosie weekly to help her start coming back to church and I was there one day during your meeting. You asked me to sit in with you for the lesson. Anway, what I'm trying to say is thank you! In case you hadn't heard, I was baptized in April (Easter Sunday). Thank you so much! I'm so grateful for you and elder Board. I just wanted to let you know the work you do is amazing. My life has changed so much and I owe it to you two elders.
As for Rosie, she has started to go to church as well. Not every Sunday but she is getting there.

Hope everything is going well!

Julie Plyler

I remember that day as if it was yesterday and that was about 13 months ago, me and Elder Board stayed up later than 10:00 and we could think about what we would teach Rosie ( wich is her cousin or something and she was a member) and as we were thinking and praying on what to teach Rosie we just felt super strongly to teach her the restoration and when we got there and when we were ready to sit down and have a lesson we saw Julie walk in the room and she had all her soccer gear on and as she was walking out the door we just felt to invite her to listen and so I remember we stood up and invited her as she was walking out, and then she just turns around and starts to cry. and she told us " I have been waiting for someone to ask me that, ive been waiting for so long." and then we tought her the Restoration and soon after that we gave her the the YSA sisters and now what do you know shes emailing me this.

its nothing special that I did or that my companion did, I mean at the time we were both new missionaries and we had no clue what to do, but as I look back on my mission the lord really I mean really has placed some of the greatest and wonderus miracles In my path. and if you think about just this one simple invite we gave her led to such a big change in her life, if you think about it how many people are around us who just are waiting for someone to reach out and open there mouth.

this week was legit and I am not as tired so ill write a little more. me and my comp have been getting up extra early so we can have extra time to read the book of Mormon and do the small things that we need to do so that's why im always tired now.  but this week!!!!
#1 thing that happened is after church yesterday we had both of our investigators there and we set up a lesson after church and we tought the restoraration and a little background on these kids. there in a group home either because of drugs or stealing or criminal fraud and they have been in there for the last 5 plus years because there just having such a hard time changing, until now!!!!! so when we tought the restoration they loved every minute of it and we really focused on the Apostacy because they have been through the personal Apostacy and we talked a lot about forgivness and about baptism, and these two kids are just so excited to make the next step to be baptized they have been clean for a long time now and are ready just to be free from the past. so we are stoked about them right now! its awesome to see just what a hope this is going to give them in there life for the future.
#2 trunk or treat!!!!!
it was legit we had our whole ward come out and do the trunk or treat and we met a bunch of non members and invited them all to take the lessons and most of them said " ill think about it" so that was a big step for a lot of people to see, so that was sweet!! I have a good friend in the ward! I forget his name but he has downcindrum and everytime I see him we do our bro hugs and I tell him that hes my body guard and I put my name tag on his suit and this kid just gets so happy and excited its the greatest thing in the world especially because you don't realize as a missionary how many people look up to you and not even that but what power and authority and responsibility it is to be a missionary to carry around the name of Christ. its amazing and this mission means everything to me.
#3 bussy bussy bussy, but I love everyminute of it.
family I love you all so much!!! keep it up!!! and have fun but always share what you know to be true because theres someone just waiting for you to invite.
well family peace out!!!

Sister Waverli Lindmeir

I read this talk called becoming a consecrated missionary By Elder Tad R. Callister and i fell in love with it! He Shared this story in it and it just touched my heart! He Says "several weeks ago Elder Basha and Elder Meis went to finalize the baptismal plans for a man who had resolved to be baptized. to their great dismay, he made a 180 degree turn about and decided that he was no longer interested in the church. they did their best to appeal to his spiritual inclinations, reminding him of the time he had borne his testimony, but to no avail. no doubt they were disappointed, even discouraged, for a moment. they attended another appointment, and then returned to their bikes, only to learn that they both had been stoloen. they sought transportation on the bus, but found that there was a breakdown in the transit system, and thus they needed to walk home. But this was not the end of their troubles. Elder Meis felt a severe pain across his Chest, which was later discovered to be shingles, a terribly painful disease. At the end of that fateful day, we saw Elder Basha and Elder Meis. They had a smile from ear to ear. They related to us the story and then, with their shining countenances that can never be dimmed, they said, "But we're happy, because we know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true."

WOW! Isn't that amazing?!!!! when i read that i just really thought how pathetic i am and how discouraged i get sometimes. But i really shouldn't because we are so lucky to have the Gospel and how lucky are we that we get to be his missionaries and share it with the world! This story is something that i really want to apply in my missionary work and in my whole life a lot more.

This story really helped me last week to turn to because a couple of things that could be discouraging happened. So last week on sunday i lost my planner which has my whole life in it and the lives of everybody we met and addresses, which is crazy because i have never lost one of my planners before. But i just brushed that off because My companion had hers so i could get our appointments from that. Then do you remember the amazing Kelly i told you about last week? were not sure what happened but she fell off the face of the planet, then Sister Jessee lost her planner also! which she has never done either! We tolde ourselves that Satin took them because there is somebody good that we need to see in their. I have really learned on my mission also that whenever something bad happens, somethings good is always awaiting around the corner and sure enough that is what happened!

I am not sure if i told you all about Joy but Joy is awesome! She is on date for baptism December 6th. It is so far away because we are trying to help her quit smoking. She started when she was 13 years old and now she is 50 trying to quit. Yesterday we fasted with her to give her strength to quit and we told her that we were going to break the fast with her at 6:30pm Sunday night. At 6;04pm she texts us and says so sorry sisters but i couldn't do it anymore and i ate some food! we were like NOOO! because we forgot to tell her that she needed to end her fast with a prayer haha....ooops! but it was okay because when we went over she said she felt really good and she really feels like God is going to give her strength to overcome it with her faith. Then We found a couple of really solid new investigators that we are going to start teaching! And we got two amazing refferals from missionaries and a bishop of a family who wants to be taught and a girl named Mo Mo who has already read half the Book of Mormon! we are so excited to meet them!
The Lord has really been blessing us in this area and it is starting to really pick up! Loving every second of being a missionary!

Love you all! Love Sister Lindmeir
