this week was bomb!!!

sorry mom thought you got my email, I sent it to everyone else but you on accident haha sorry.

well this week was an amazing week like always I always say that but it truly was!

we started to teach Ron Ellis this week, actually we tough him like 4 times this week and he is just amazing he's totally changing his life around and the gospel in it. hes finally finding true and everlasting happiness in his life. Ron is the one who about 3 weeks ago was addicted to every kind of drug was a gambler and an alcoholic, and he finally decided he wants a different life. so we have been helping him achieve it, he has a baptismal date for sept 13, and he has been reading the book of Mormon everyday and praying everyday and has been going to he NRA, AAA NNA, meetings to help overcome his addictions, in one of the lessons we had we brought a member with us and this guy is one of my top 5 favorite members ever just because hes a 53 year old who surfs like everyday and drives his KTR 600 everywhere and when hes not surfing he plays Video games. ( mom dad no worries I don't nerd out with him and I make sure the video games are turned off before we start to talk to him haha) but this guy was totally inactive like 5 years ago and his wife was a herawin addict for 15 years of there marriage until he got a divorce and now hes back trying to get temple worthy! woot woot. anyways he is perfect for Ron as a friend to help motivate him to keep and stay clean.
funny story about Ron yesterday, we drove over to his house to invite him to help us out with service, and when we got there he was making all these excuses why he cant go, but then we convinced him! and he says " alright alright, well can you hand me my shirt, and when I handed it to him 20 bucks fall out from the front pocket of his shirt and lands on his lap. and note this man is 63 years old and has done drugs his whole life hes not in the best shape but when that money dropped onto his lap that man grabbed the money jumped from his chair and with the biggest smile he was dancing up and down screamin and tells us " WOW you guys are amazing look at this as soon as you come god gives me 20 bucks... lets go do some service!!!" haha it was awesome!

another reason why that was so cool is because the service we were doing was we were building one of our recent converts/ part member families roof. and when we show up on a sunday right after church we see about 50 people on top of there roof just hammerin away building it. and the coolest part about it is, I see bishop chapman in his suit paints and dress shoes just holding a nail gun and going to work like no big deal. Ron was impressed and roy the husband of the recent converts house was impressed too and soon he will become a member also.

I think this is my first area were I was able to truly work with the members and have such great relationship and trust as this one. they have been giving us people after people to teach that this week we were able to pick up 8 new investigators all from members. this ward is killing it with missionary work!!!!!
o and by the way me and elder olvera are staying here again for another 6 weeks!!!!! woot woot. that will be 4 and a half months with the same companion! honestly im stoked because the lord is giving us the people to teach and we work amazing together!!! ( elder olvera is known around the mission to be one of the best misisonaries haha ) I know why now! hes so humble and we just work more than ever before! we use our phone so much that it wont even make a whole day without having to be recharged, usually the battery last like 4 days!!! we are just being a lot more effective in the work here in valley center!

Benjamin brady got baptized this week, he is a brother to me hes only 14 years old and is amazing!!! love you all so much keep it up!!!!!!!

what a shocking week!!!

" And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light, yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord." -Mosiah 24:14
On saturday we got a call from our Mission President telling Sister Allred and i that we would both be leaving our beloved area in Wenatchee. We were both so suprized and shocked! we figured that one of us would get to stay. We have a lot going on in this area and we couldn't believe we are leaving! I was so sad at first and just feeling like this can't be right. The scripture in Alma reminded me how prideful i was being and that the Lord knows best. We just have to cheerfully and with patience submit our will to the Lords. Heavenly Father really knows best and he has never failed me. Every area i get sent to, i know that the lord and the people needed me and i needed them, to grow and to become the person and the missionary that Heavenly Father wants me to be. I am getting transferred to Kennewick with Sister Love. Sister Love is one of the best missionaries i have ever met and i can't wait to learn from her and serve with her.

Another Shocking thing that happened is that Sister Allred and i were sitting in the car just about to go into a sandwich place to eat lunch and an old man accidently went into reverse instead of drive and backed into the front bumper of our car! Don't worry, we didn't get hurt, just shocked!

And another shocking thing that happened is a lady named Jackie that we were teaching 2 months ago but dropped because she wasn't progressing came to church with her daughter Isabella yesterday! They were not planning on coming to church but jackie as she was on the way to walmart saw the church and thought "Hey! i think that is where my home girl missionaries are!" she pulled in and came inside. Just in time for church! Jackie has been going through a lot of crazy things in her life right now! she told us that she has been using heroine every single day for years and she overdosed using meth and almost died. She realized when this happened that she needed to turn her life around for her daughter. she has been clean for nine days. There is an addiction recovery program through the church that she is going to go through and she kept just telling us how much she wants to change. We love Jackie so much and it was one of the hardest things dropping her because we knew the gospel was exactly what she needed. She was not ready then but is now. It was such a sweet tender mercy to me that God really is in control and that he can do all things. He is going to take care of this area and he will make sure that the new sisters will also.

I am sad for the change especially leaving Sister Allred. I have learned so much from her and she has pushed me to be so much better. I am eternally grateful for her and i am glad that she is from Ogden Utah so i can see her again, and still be friends afterwards. I have loved this area so much and the people. Sad to leave but ready for what the Lord has in store for me next.

I love you all! Till we meet again.

Love, Sister Lindmeir

MIRACLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Elder Lindmeir

THIS WEEK IS GOING TO BLOW YOUR MIND!!!!!!!

haha it was an amazing week, and a week that I hope I will never forget!

1. MIRACLE of the week. we had just got out of meetings at 4pm and on the way back to our area we were talking about how we can reach our baptism goal for the transfer, and while discussing it we realized that we would need to find 3 new investigators or just to keep the ones we have and help them progress even more. the first house we hit was our RC house Pam Bradey because we are teaching her son and her husband, and as we pull up to there house theres this lady sitting on there porch, that we have never met before, as we start talking with her we realize that shes best friends with pam and she just visiting her for the day, and during the middle of our conversation, this little girl plops open the door and looks at us and the first thing she says is " I want to be baptized " istantly im jumpin up and down smiling because its to good to be true right, then the mom says " yeah we are looking for a church and I love Mormons so yeah were thinking about getting baptized" me and elder olvera look at each other and we just are so pumped!!! we ask he if we could go in and teach her and she said yes! we tought a short powerful restoration lesson and both of them are on date for baptism, they came to church yesterday and there just amazing!!!! the lord truly has placed them In our path and all we needed was to act and work hard to get there.

2. MIRACLE of the week. Benjamin, Pams son had a date for the 16th of august for baptism but since he wasn't able to make it to church we had to push it back and as we were teaching him this he just got a big old smile and grinned and said " wow the 23 is my B-DAY! so we are stoked that he gets his baptism on his birthday! His life is truly changing! he is by himself all day on a huge property surrounded by horrible and evil surroundings and hes slowly coming back, he asked me yesterday in the most heart felt saying I have ever heard, he said " so I can be forgiven for everything?" as a 14 year old you could see the pain that he has suffered here but at the same time he had the greatest faith that he can become clean!!! I love it!!!!!

3. MIRACLE of the week. we dropped our investigator mariana, because she wouldent progress so when the spirit was the strongest in the lesson we told her " if you don't read pray and come to church you will fall and your family will also..." tough words right but we felt so inspired to say them, so she sent usnasty texts about how we don't care about her and all this other stuff. so we decided to visit with her so we could work it out because the last thing we want is her to be mad. we get there and elder olvera the first thing he says is " so we got your texts and it seems like your not very happy, why is that? " she then went off! hahaha it was awesome never seen so much drama in my life. I was kinda scared but as she talked for 30 or so minutes kinda yelling at us, we asked her more soul searching questions and before you she opened her self up and told us everything!! I mean everything she has done and why she wont read pray and go to church, and I was getting a head acke but it was awesome because for the first time we truly understood her a little more and was able to help her out. elder olvera read this amazing poem to her wich is called " the touch of the masters hand"and she started to get teary eyed and it was supper powerful!!! so then she started to progress!!! she read!!! and called us the other day and asked us what she needs to do to be baptized! but it kinda fell again but it was still a MIRACLE!

4. MIRACLE!!! of the week. this one is straight up insane!!!! it was right after we have been praying and fasting to find the last person to reach our goal. we go to one of our investigators house Richard mattison who was a referral from his best friend who is serving on his mission in florida. so for the past 3 weeks we have been meeting with Richard. now he is the coolest guy ever hes 18 years old and is so spiritual, he loves religion and studies everything, and about 6 months before us he had gotten baptized in a Christian church. as we have been teaching him that was one of his biggest concerns was the fact that he had already been baptized and he feels like god would have given the pastor the authority for his baptism. so honeslty the last three lessons we had tought we the discussions but all centered on baptism to help him get his answer that he needs to have the authority to make it count. so we went over to his house and it was probably around 8:30 and we planned to teach him the gospel of Jesus Christ. as we start teaching him the spirit just is so powerful and everything we are teaching with him he knows to be true, so when we start to teach about baptism we read Act 19: 1-3 wich talks about receiving the gift of the holy ghost and without that you need to be re baptized. as we read with him it was so powerful that we ask him " what are you feeling/ thoughts right now?" there was about a 40 second pause then he stands up, and says " all I know is that theres a pool right there and im going to get my swimming trunks and you guys have that authority and you are going to baptize me!" I just froze and im pretty sure I drooled all over myself and he runs off to get his swimming suit and we have to stop him! hahahahaaha he comes back and he is so pumped!!! hes all " man lets gogogoggogo!! lets do this right now!!! and we tried to calm him =down and tell him why we cant right now. ( but personally I was so down! haha) we tell him Richard we need to finish teaching you all the commandment the word of wisdom and the law of chasity. and he says alright teach me! so we start teaching him everything first with the word of wisdom and he tells us " I don't soke drink, coffe tea none of that. ok next he says! law of chasity cant have any sexual relationships, he says good im a virgin! haha next he says. we teach him all the other commandments but the only thing he cant do is keeping the sabath day, because he works on sunday, and as you know the have to go to church to be baptized, and then he says well I attended church with my best friend taylor. hahaha he has done everything!!! sadley we couldn't baptize him that night but he got his interview and to day at 6 he will be getting baptized.

this miracle is one I will never forget because It was the first time I have ever seen true and real faith!! this man Richard has the strongest faith that I have ever seen and I am so greatful for god for all these amazing miracles he has been able to place in my path and I will never forget them and when times get hard I will look back and see that miracles happen and god listens and answers us, so have the faith and peruse!!
wow that was a long letter. haha love you all so much keep up the good work!!!!

Turning to the Lord Sister Lindmeir

Last week on friday, we went to see a family that we had found a couple weeks ago to go and teach a Family home evening lesson with them. We really liked this family a lot because you could see how much the gospel could help their family. When we knocked on the door, they said it has been really nice that you have been coming good but me and my family our good where we are at. When we got into the car to go somewhere else. Sister Allred started to cry. Sister Allred is really tough and our 2 and a half months together she has never once cried from being discouraged. She always gets right back up and presses us forward with faith, knowing that God will provide. She kept asking me what are we doing wrong, me too at this time started breaking down in tears. I thought of something that this Less active lady that we teach said to us a few days earlier. She said that it is not Gods fault that she broke her hip twice, it's not Gods fault that her husband is sick,  it's not Gods fault that he is going to pass away soon. This sweet less active Lady, Sister Maughn has so many hard trials in her life right now and she Just knows that it is not Gods Fault. I learned a great lesson that day that it's not Gods fault that the people we teach are not wanting to learn more and as long as we are doing all we can that it's not our fault either. We talked about this in the car for a little while and we decided that what we needed to do better at seeking more inspiration from God. We prayed a powerful prayer to our Father to help us to go where he needed us to go.
We were tracting on this one street called Franklin later that night for a little while and then after about an hour of talking to people we see this guy sitting on his steps looking like he is waiting for us. We go up to him and ask him how he is doing and he said not so good and we ask him why? he tells us because he is broken. He goes on to tell us the story of why he is broken. four weeks ago he was riding his motorcycle a 105 mph in the dark and he hits a deer. 4 days later he wakes up in the hospital with a shattered knee, broken ankle, broken shoulder, and broken elbow. He told us that he was dead for 17 minutes and that the doctors had revived him. he said that there was no reason for him to live because he lost almost all his blood at one time. As we were talking to him he started to get mad! He couldn't understand why he didn't see a white light when he died. He was also mad because he couldn't understand if there was a God and he was so loving why would he let bad things happen to good people. He had more concerns so we opened up the book of mormon and turned to scriptures and testified. His heart softened and we talked about prayer. he told us that he has never gotten an answer that God is there. He told us that he doesn't want to see God or see a sign but that he just wants to feel that he is there. We told him the best way to feel that he is there is by going to church. He said he would come!

Sunday Morning comes and we text Ray and he said he is on His way. We said okay see you soon! a little while latter we get a text and he says my knee is really hurting, i don't think i can walk much longer. We ask him where he is at and we go and get members to pick him up wiith us. Sister Allred and i were cracking up on the way to get him. He seriously took the longest way to get to church with a borken body! By the way he cut off all his casts so he could do normal things. We were just amazed at how far he had come! he went 2 miles on a broken knee, ankle, elbow, and shoulder!

We get into the church and everyone is expecting him and they all welcome him there. It Was a farwell that day which was awesome because the whole congregation was filled when usually its just the a quarter filled. Sister Allred and i prayed so hard that would be given would help him to feel the Spirit of the Lord. The topics of the talks could not have been more inspired by God and i just knew that God had this planned from the beginning. The talks were on families, prayer, and then the why of missionary work. I wish i could tell you all about these talks and how the touched Rays heart. We looked at Ray if he was feeling what we were in sacrament meeting and oh boy he was! he had tears streaming down his face. After Sacrament meeting he didn't even know what to say. he couldn't believe that everything that he was going though had been answered. he was speechless. We then went to Gospel Princples and the lesson was on the spirit world. Ray has had tons of his family pass away and once again he was brought to tears. after church he still was so speechless. We are seeing him tonight and we invited him to a family home evening at a members house. he told us he had lots of Questions for us and i can't wait! we are teaching the Plan of Salvation!

I have been learning a lot of things lately but one the most recent one is that i am grateful that there is opposition in all things. If we have never experienced bad in this area then we really wouldn't know what good was. Now it is easier to be more thankful to our Father in Heaven for the Good that he gives us.

I am filled with so much Grattitude for God leading us to Ray. You could already see on sunday how he was having a change of heart. He is coming to know His God and Brother the Savior, which is the sweetest thing a missionary can see. I love you all with all my HeartL Love, Sister Lindmeir

this week!!!! killing it!!!Elder Lindmeir

this week was awesome and I don't even remember it haha time is going by way to fast!!!! but we did do a lot this week and I learned a lot!

first thing we had MLC this week and that is just another missionary meeting were we learn how to become better missionaries, and something this whole transfer me and elder olvera have been tring to do is be more effective and we have been really coming up with cool things to help the mission to reach its goal!
but this week I honestly forgot alt but what I do remember was the exchange I had with elder rodriguez. and elder rodriguez is a new missionary who is getting trained by elder jones ( elder jones is one of my best missionary friends!!!!) and elder rodriguez is the most quite missionary I know and hes super timid, so on exchanges my whole goal was to break that wall for him. so the first thing we do is go fill up the truck with gas and I told him to that we should talk to people and I pointed out the guy he should talk to but as soon as I said that he just froze! like a possum!!! it was so funny he gets so scared so I go with him to talk to the person and we have a great conversation but he wasn't very interested. so then I tell elder rodriguez its not scary but fun and that you should be intimidated by people and as soon as I said this no joke this cadalack pull up and a 300 pound black man comes out the car to fill up with gas and I started to laugh and I told him that hes got it.. but he froze up again, so I told him to follow me and I break the ice with this huge black guy and I paused and waited for my comp to talk and as soon as he started to talk I just walk away. hahaha I figured the best way to learn is if you just get put on the spot. it was awesome cause after when he was done he got the confidence to talk to an older man who was filling is work truck with diesel and as soon as he starts talking to this old guy, the diesel gas come out and spays this old man for like 4 seconds straight in the face/mouth/whole body of just straight diesel! I was laughing so hard but at the same time I was running to grab paper towels and, when this happened elder rodiguez just froze up again but he was just standing right next to the guy just like in shock of what happened and the old guy got mad of coarse so this new elder as soon as he gets his confidence up, just instantly gets his confidence back down. it was such a funny experience!!!

we had great spiritual lesson this week and we tought a lot of people in Spanish and it was really cool to see how I new what we were teaching and It was really cool to just listen to the spirit and pitch in the lesson as much as I could.
seeing miracles every day sorry this was a lame email but I just forget what happens each week time is just going by way to fast! hahah love you all so much!!!!

gabe happy B-day!!!!1 love you tons bro keep it up!!!
love you all

Tender Mercies Sister Lindmeir

Hey Everybody!

I hit my year mark last week. It was the weirdest and saddest thing ever! I honestly still feel like a brand new missionary. I have so much more to learn! I wonder if that's how all of us feel most of the time though. Not quiet satisfied, always wanting to be better, and improve. What do you all think? I feel like there isn't enough time! days go by way too fast and it just kills me! there is so much to do and so little time!

Last week we couldn't get a hold of Jeremy and Erika and we finally stopped by there house on Saturday and we got to talk to them. Jeremy told us that he had some bad news. He was talking to his parole officer and how he had done everything he needed to qualify to go to church and then they looked on his probation papers and they realized the judge didn't clear it for Jeremy to go to church. Jeremy has certain restrictions and can only go certain places that he got cleared from the judge. he didn't realize that he couldn't go to church. If he goes to church he could get arrested again. At first I was really sad. like oh man! Jeremy can't go to church which means his family can't go and that he won't be able to progress in the gospel and then I thought how selfish am I?! Right after that I thought about how hard this must be for Jeremy. He has Studied the gospel for 9 months and he knows that it is true. Last week at the church tour we had with them, he said that he couldn't wait to partake of the sacrament and that he has waited for over 9 months to take it! he couldn't wait, and then his probation officer says he can't go to church until he takes it to the judge which could take anywhere from a few months to a year. Jeremy at first was a little sad but then he just knew that this was just a small stumbling block to his path of happiness. He said that he has faith in God and in his timing and that he is just going to put all his trust in him and he knows that everything is going to work out.

Jeremy is such a great example and I can't believe how strong his testimony is. When he does get to come to church and when he does get to become a member of this church. he is going to be one of the strongest members of this church. He has so much faith and trust in the lord and in his timing! it is just amazing!

A lot of crazy amazing things happened last week, Like God just kept giving me the sweetest tender mercies! On Thursday, I was telling Sister Allred that I was really feeling like Pasta salad, that it just sounded good. Then the next day a member fed us pasta salad! this happens all the time! Then 3 people said I was so beautiful, even though I have gained weight, have tired wrinkles, don't wear much make up, and my hair is in a pony tail like everyday! I knew that it must have been Heavenly Father talking through those people. It is cool how God works and blesses us just everyday! he really does have a sense of humor and we just have to watch for it! its the best :)

I love you all! Sister Lindmeir
