what a shocking week!!!

" And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light, yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord." -Mosiah 24:14
On saturday we got a call from our Mission President telling Sister Allred and i that we would both be leaving our beloved area in Wenatchee. We were both so suprized and shocked! we figured that one of us would get to stay. We have a lot going on in this area and we couldn't believe we are leaving! I was so sad at first and just feeling like this can't be right. The scripture in Alma reminded me how prideful i was being and that the Lord knows best. We just have to cheerfully and with patience submit our will to the Lords. Heavenly Father really knows best and he has never failed me. Every area i get sent to, i know that the lord and the people needed me and i needed them, to grow and to become the person and the missionary that Heavenly Father wants me to be. I am getting transferred to Kennewick with Sister Love. Sister Love is one of the best missionaries i have ever met and i can't wait to learn from her and serve with her.

Another Shocking thing that happened is that Sister Allred and i were sitting in the car just about to go into a sandwich place to eat lunch and an old man accidently went into reverse instead of drive and backed into the front bumper of our car! Don't worry, we didn't get hurt, just shocked!

And another shocking thing that happened is a lady named Jackie that we were teaching 2 months ago but dropped because she wasn't progressing came to church with her daughter Isabella yesterday! They were not planning on coming to church but jackie as she was on the way to walmart saw the church and thought "Hey! i think that is where my home girl missionaries are!" she pulled in and came inside. Just in time for church! Jackie has been going through a lot of crazy things in her life right now! she told us that she has been using heroine every single day for years and she overdosed using meth and almost died. She realized when this happened that she needed to turn her life around for her daughter. she has been clean for nine days. There is an addiction recovery program through the church that she is going to go through and she kept just telling us how much she wants to change. We love Jackie so much and it was one of the hardest things dropping her because we knew the gospel was exactly what she needed. She was not ready then but is now. It was such a sweet tender mercy to me that God really is in control and that he can do all things. He is going to take care of this area and he will make sure that the new sisters will also.

I am sad for the change especially leaving Sister Allred. I have learned so much from her and she has pushed me to be so much better. I am eternally grateful for her and i am glad that she is from Ogden Utah so i can see her again, and still be friends afterwards. I have loved this area so much and the people. Sad to leave but ready for what the Lord has in store for me next.

I love you all! Till we meet again.

Love, Sister Lindmeir
