New transfer + New companion + Training = Change = Growth

Hello Team Lindmeir,
Sounds like all is well at home. It is good to hear from you. Mom, you were correct, I do have a new companion. Sister Dickson from Gig Harbor (next to Tacoma), Washington. She turned 19yrs old in March so she is a young missionary. She is fresh from the MTC and so I am training her. But I don't know if I would really say training... She is a great missionary and we are learning from each other. Sister Hills left and went to an area in the Woodbridge stake; which means that she is no longer in our mission. She is in the Richmond, VA Mission. Sister Mannchen is no longer in the mission as well.
This week, we did not get too much done because of transfers, but we definitely had some highlights:
1) Sister Dickson had a hard time her first night getting rejected. She was upset and terrified to talk to more people. Yesterday, I decided that we are going to overcome her fear and go tracting until she was no longer terrified. The good news is that it worked. We were rejected eight times in a row and she is no longer terrified.
2) We started teaching a girl Michelle; who we met tracting. She is a young adult and is one of those so called "Golden Investigators". The first time we met she said she would read the Book of Mormon and she did. A few days later we had a lesson planned with her and she had already read half the book and now is finished. She said she believes everything we say and that it makes sense. She was even saying that she was going to talk to all her friends about the church! What??!! And we invited her to baptism and she said "Sure, Definitely". The only sad part is that she is young and single so we have to pass her along to the Singles Ward Sisters.
3) We are teaching a women named Sharon who is the kindest women I have ever met. We have taught her a few lessons and we taught her the Plan of Salvation 2 days ago. She was amazed by it and said that she really hopes it is true.  She said "I want to go to the Celestial Kingdom". And I said "What are you willing to do to get there?". She brought up baptism and said that she will pray to know if this is the right path for her. We gave her the date of June 29th to pray about. We promised her that if she continued to pray and read the BofM then she will know that baptism is right. We are meeting with her tonight and we will let you know how it goes.
4) Yesterday in Fast and Testimony Mtg, Brother Nelson (the son of the man that died last month) got up and gave thanks for the support to his family in this hard time. And he finished the story his father started about Tolstoy (not sure how to spell it?). But anyways, it was really incredible. And the story about Tolstoy is so incredible. You will have to look it up. He is talking about how Tolstoy was amazed with the new American Religion (LDS).
Have a great week and I love you!!!!
Love, Sister Lindmeir
